In trains

DIRT/EMV controls all intelligent units in the vehicle. It is responsible for control, measuring, sequencing, protection, supervision and communication. Basic features:

  • modular design
  • proprietary long-life HW/SW components
  • supports safety critical real time functions
  • fail safe mode of operations
  • supports communication with more than 40 control units in the vehicle;
  • 4 x CAN/CAN Open, 2 x RS485 interfaces
  • 1 general propose µP, 4 µCs, 1 DSP
  • remote diagnostic functions
  • programming IDE based on block-diagrams

In trams

DIRT/TMK2200 is vehicle main control system responsible for control, measuring, sequencing, protection, supervision and communication tasks in the whole vehicle.
It is based on proprietary hardware and software solutions with the following characteristic:

  • Completely redundant configuration (2 identical channels)
  • modular design
  • proprietary long-life HW/SW platform
  • supports safety critical real time functions
  • fail safe mode of operations
  • communication with all distributed control units in the vehicle
  • 2 x CAN/CAN Open, 2 x RS485 interfaces
  • remote diagnostic functions
  • programming IDE based on block-diagrams

In locomotives

DIRT/LOKO is a digital control system for control, regulation, measuring, sequencing, protection, supervision and communication tasks for locomotives. It has been usefully used in applications such as modernization of old diode locomotives where the following functions are supported:

  • Regulation system of the main electromotor drive
  • Control of pantographs and vacuum circuit breaker
  • Control of auxiliary services
  • Control of change-over switches
  • Control of traction contactors
  • Train circulation at ordered speed
  • Control of protection circuits
  • Slip protection and control of traction motor currents
  • Display of locomotive status
  • Indication of locomotive operation parameters
  • Safety control of driver vigilance (“dead man” function)
  • Man-machine interface
  • Communication with TCN/UIC556 gateway

In Hydro/Thermal Power Plants

DVR - Digital voltage regulator is realized as a modular embedded control system. Due to hardware and software modularity, DVR can fulfill different customer requirements. Basic characteristics of DVR system are:

  • DSP based three phase, generator's currents and voltages measurement,
  • Independent regulator per field current
  • Easy system upgrade due to the high level of modularity and spare slots
  • Time stamp of digital inputs with resolution of 1 ms and with GPS synchronization
  • Modern communication protocols
  • Possibility of redudant solutions by means of two-channels configuration
  • User friendly programming IDE based on block-diagrams
