CISK

CISK (Compact Intelligent Systems - KONČAR) represents a distributed, modular, compact I/O system for mounting on DIN rails. The system is proprietary solution, developed in accordance with standard for railway EN 50155:2007, wherein lies its wide application also in the industrial field. The system is based on CAN bus communication.

The family includes several developed types of devices, and development of additional devices is provided as needed. So far CAN bridge module, digital inputs module, digital outputs module, and analog input module have been developed. The following are the basic features of the system and its components.

Basic Features

  • modules communicate with each other via a local CAN bus
  • configurable address module, with hex switches
  • optical LED indicators on front panel of module for each input and output channel
  • optical LED indicators of correctness (FAIL) on front panel
  • plastic enclosures according to DIN43880 standard - 53mm wide and 105mm (for analog inputs)
  • according to EN50155 norm
  • extended temperature range (-40°C to +85°C)
  • up to 16 modules per node (10W)
  • supports a "fail-safe" mode
  • intelligent I/O modules

Digital Inputs Module

  • each input channel has reverse voltage and overvoltage protection
  • logical level of "high" ("1") - from 15 to 30 V DC, logical level "low" ("0") - from -30 to 6 V DC
  • maximum input current at a voltage 30 V DC: 17 mA.
  • galvanic isolation level: 2500Vrms - optocoupler
  • supply voltage: 5V

CAN Bridge

  • each input channel has reverse voltage and overvoltage protection
  • logical level of "high" ("1") - from 15 to 30 V DC, logical level "low" ("0") - from -30 to 6 V DC
  • maximum input current at a voltage 30 V DC: 17 mA
  • galvanic isolation level: 2500Vrms - optocoupler
  • supply voltage: 5V

Digital Outputs Module

  • 4 galvanically isolated digital outputs supported with MOSFETs; type of contact: NO
  • each output channel has a protective circuitry
  • supported short-circuit protection
  • common line (0V) for all channels
  • output current: 2A maximum permanent
  • level galvanic isolation: 2500Vrms - optocoupler
  • supply voltage: 5V

Analog Inputs Module

  • voltage inputs: 0-5V, 0-10V, ± 5V, ± 10V; current inputs: 0-20mA
  • sensor supply with external (galvanically isolated) DC/DC converter
  • galvanic isolation level: 2500Vrms - optocoupler
  • common line 0V for all channels
  • 16-bit resolution
  • supply voltage: 5V
